Palladium Russian Ballerina One Ounce Coins
are among the most popular palladium coins in the world and are considered a beloved treasure of
the Russian Federation.
Sold in Brilliant Uncirculated condition (BU), the Ballerinas were produced in the famed Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) Mint from 1989 through 1995. These beautiful and
intricate coins were minted to honor the Bolshoi Ballet, which was first brought to Russia from France in the early 1700s and is now an internationally renowned ballet
company. Each coin contains 1 ounce of .999 fine palladium and is presented in a protective plastic case.
The obverse depicts a unique annual design of a ballerina dancer en pointe.
The reverse features the former Soviet Union emblem of a hammer and sickle and the Cyrillic abbreviation for the Soviet Union, CCCP. There is a finite supply of these coins
making them gain value as a collectible every year.
